If you've hired me to wear the birth photographer hat you can expect a minimum of 100 finished images, which you'll receive in an online gallery from which you can download high-resolution files (and low-res ones for sharing online).
I give a handful of previews within 3 days. The entire gallery within 4 weeks.
This might be hard to believe, but you'll probably be so euphoric about your smooth, quick birth that you won't even mind in a way.
Even so, if I miss a birth due to it being too quick, I reallocate your investment toward other photo shoots or extra postpartum support.
I have never missed a birth due to my own negligence.
I have purposefully refrained from going through official doula-certification programs because I desire to be beholden and shaped by my relationship with birthing families more than by obligations to credentials.
That said, I have learned to do what I do by apprenticing with a midwife, observing many births as a photographer, reading lots of birth-related material, giving birth myself... and a gifting/calling from God!
Then I stick by your side. I won't abandon you if for some reason your baby's or your own wellbeing require a transfer of care. This is true whether I'm just your birth photographer or your doula, too.
I hope to carry peace into those undesired turns of event, and provide a sense of safety and love for you there.
